FISHERS, IN –

The Indiana IoT Lab is celebrating its third-anniversary by releasing the State of IoT 2021 report. The Fishers-based lab is building on their statewide mission of thought leadership and acceleration of businesses built on transformative Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

The Spring 2021 edition puts forth insights and innovations from Indiana-based startups, scale-ups, and established thought leaders focusing on connected and advanced manufacturing. The edition is inspired by the phrase, In Indiana, we make things.

“The Internet of Things (IoT) has become a disruptive force in our innovation economy, and the impact of IoT on the manufacturing industry will be profound,” said John Wechsler, CEO of the Indiana IoT Lab. “By focusing this report on the impact of IoT in the manufacturing space, we hope to shine a light on the best practices and innovative stories that will help inspire others.”

The Indiana IoT Lab opened March 21, 2018, in Fishers as a public-private partnership between Launch Fishers and The City of Fishers with support from sponsors including Comcast Business, Indiana University, and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

“As we reflect on the last three years, the Indiana IoT Lab – Fishers has carved out an impression in the Indy metro’s technology innovation space,” remarked Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “The Lab is fulfilling all that we hoped: a home to IoT entrepreneurs, a hub for connections, and a place that is building the next generation of technology for some of Indiana’s most critical industries like manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, and life sciences.”

“We are very encouraged by the level of engagement from our members, individual entrepreneurs, and an increasing number of collaborative partners from industry,” said Jason Pennington, Executive Director of the Indiana IoT Lab. “By choosing to move the State of IoT from an annual publication to a quarterly collection, we feel very confident that we can stay on the pulse of this activity.”
